Sensei Dave Paulus ventured to Okinawa, the birthplace of Karate, to partake in the prestigious JKA Spring Camp. Marking his inaugural visit to Okinawa but his tenth camp attendance, Dave received a special certificate of recognition during the opening ceremony. 
 
The camp kicked off with master classes led by distinguished karate practitioners. Day one showcased a Gojushiho Sho master class with Ogura Sensei (8th Dan), followed by an engaging Kumite session led by the esteemed Naka Sensei (7th Dan). Day two focused on Hangetsu, guided by Imamura Sensei (8th Dan). 
 
The camp continued with joint sessions and seminars, highlighting the expertise of Oishi Sensei (9th Dan), and providing educational opportunities for referees and judges. Notably, Dave achieved the senior rank of Rokudan (6th Dan), a testament to his dedication. 
 
The camp concluded with a thorough recap session and a heartfelt closing ceremony, marking an enriching experience for all participants. Dave's journey to Okinawa signifies the enduring pursuit of excellence in karate.
