We are proud to announce the re-formation of the Yushikai Dojo Squad, bringing together some of our most dedicated and promising students.
If you are visiting this page, it means you have been personally selected to be part of this exciting development programme.
What Is the Yushikai Dojo Squad?
The squad has been created to:
Develop technical excellence and performance
Prepare students for competition at a higher level
Build confidence, discipline and commitment
Provide additional focused coaching alongside regular training
Squad members will train together regularly and represent Yushikai at competitions throughout the year.
Competition Opportunities
In addition to the three annual JKA England events, squad members will have the opportunity to compete in:
Regional competitions
Invitational events
Development tournaments
These events are designed to build experience, sharpen skills, and support long-term progression.

2026 Squad Training Schedule
Saturday 18th APRIL

Saturday 13th JUNE
The above squad training sessions will be held at the following times:
White - Purple/White belts: 11:00 - 12:30
Brown & Black belts: 13:00 - 15:00
Squad training fee: £5 (cash on the day please)
HALF-TERM TRAINING CAMP: 26 - 28 MAY
JKA NATIONALS - Saturday 20th JUNE

Squad Rules & Regulations
All squad training sessions must be attended.
Maintain consistent training at your regular club sessions.
Arrive on time for all training sessions and events.
Conduct yourself with discipline and respect at all times.
Ensure your Gi fits properly, is clean and in good condition.
The correct coloured belt must always be worn with your Gi.
Team jackets should be worn over your Gi where required.
Female members must wear a plain white T-shirt under their Gi.
Always bow when entering or leaving the dojo.
Address instructors as “Sensei” not by their name.
No jewellery is permitted during training.
