Sensei Dave Passes 'A' Rank Judge

Yushikai Karate Academy is delighted to announce that our Chief Instructor, Sensei Dave Paulus, has successfully passed the elite A-Rank Judge examination at the Japan Karate Association (JKA) Headquarters in Tokyo. 

 

During the four-day Spring Joint Training Camp, Sensei Paulus sat both the written and practical examinations. Out of 34 candidates who passed the written test, only four succeeded in the demanding practical assessment. Sensei Paulus was one of those four — and the only non-Japanese instructor to achieve this honour. 

 

This prestigious qualification recognises his technical knowledge and judging ability at the highest international standard.
